The exposition gallery contains artifacts, memorabilia, signs, and documents from the various expositions that show cased San Francisco as the gateway to the West.
The collection includes original items along with informative displays that explain the role these expositions had on forming the identity of San Francisco. An estimated 17 million visitors visited Treasure Island when is hosted the 1939 World's Fair. And, in 1915 San Francisco hosted the Panama Pacific International Exposition which covered over 600 acres.
To learn more, we highly recommend attending one of or free docent tours, that occur every Saturday at 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM.
