The Museum of San Francisco is proud to partner with other organizations to show case several special exhibits through out the year! We also have many permanent exhibits, including, the U.S. Mint vault. 

New Exhibit Open

We're proud to announce that our new exhibit, Small World, Big City: Scaled Stories of San Francisco Neighborhoods, is now open to the public. Mark McGowan’s spectacular handmade models captivated all who attended. Don’t miss this intimate, evocative look at some of San Francisco’s most cherished and storied neighborhoods.

    Discover San Francisco—one neighborhood at a time. In this exhibition, third-generation San Franciscan Mark McGowan brings the city’s history, culture, and transformation to life through richly detailed, three-dimensional models drawn from personal memory and lived experience.
